Barrier 4th of the warm up

On Saturday morning, Sylvain was one full second quicker than on Friday, going from 1’41.5 to 1’40.5. During the qualifying practice session, he was in 10th position, so he will start from the 3rd row of the starting grid. The warm up went very well with a time of 1’40.1.

This is the first time for the Garnier Racing Team with a BMW in Misano and tuning the R1000SS takes logically a long time. The progression is clear and consistent, with Sylvain doing the 4th time of the warm up session.

Michel Garnier (team owner): “We did a good warm up this morning. 1’40.1 is 4 tenths of a second quicker than Sylvain’s previous fastest time. We need a good start, and Sylvain to be careful and smart. The Italians are at home. There will be a lot of action. Fingers crossed!”

Sylvain Barrier: “I am progressing. Yesterday, I was pushing too hard when I was braking. We still have a few things to make better for the race. “
