Quiet Friday

Sylvain Barrier was 6th and Gregg Black 23rd in the first free practice session. Both riders took it easy, learning the track and working on the setting of the bikes. Overall, it was a quiet working day at the track.

Maxime Berger (Honda) was the fastest, in front of Davide Giugliano (Suzuki) and Xavier Simon (Ducati). Sylvain Barrier and Gregg Black worked on the bikes so they can get the best possible results during the practice session tomorrow and the race on Sunday.
The weather forecast is not very optimistic for tomorrow, with rain expected.

Gregg Black: “This is my first time here. We worked on the bike, looking for a basic set up. I was going too wide entering the corners and we are working to find the right solution. I am progressing.”

Sylvain Barrier: “It was a cool session. I need to find the right marks. We have to get used to our tyres again, after we used slick tyres during the previous weekend at Magny-Cours. Everything went well. I did not take chances.”

Michel Garnier (team manager): “I am happy. Gregg is learning the track. He is doing really well. His goal is to qualify around the 15th position tomorrow. Sylvain did a good job. He is in the good group with the best riders. There has been no crash.”
